Overnight charging on a single-phase home charger covers most daily driving. Faster chargers need a three-phase supply, which many homes don't have. Think about a typical day's driving before paying for speed you won't use.
Where the charger goes
Garage wall, carport or driveway. The distance from the switchboard sets the length of the cable run, and an outdoor spot needs a charger rated for the weather.
Charging from solar
Some chargers can follow your solar output and charge the car from your own panels during the day. Mention your inverter and any battery so the electrician can check what works together.
Who supplies the charger
