Common Questions
Is the Wallbox Pulsar Plus the same as the original Wallbox Pulsar?
The Pulsar Plus is the current generation, replacing the original Pulsar. It adds Wi-Fi connectivity alongside Bluetooth, giving you both local and remote app control. The Pulsar Plus is the version we install and recommend.
Does the Wallbox Pulsar work with solar panels?
Not dynamically in the same way as a Zappi or Fronius Wattpilot. The Pulsar Plus can be scheduled to charge at times when solar generation is high, but it doesn't monitor solar surplus in real time. For advanced solar integration, a Zappi or Wattpilot is a better fit. For straightforward smart scheduling, the Pulsar Plus is excellent.
Can I use the Wallbox Pulsar with my BYD, Hyundai, or Kia EV?
Yes. The Pulsar Plus uses a universal Type 2 connector, compatible with all current AU EVs (except Tesla, which requires the included Type 2 adapter). It works with BYD Atto 3, BYD Sealion 7, Hyundai Ioniq 5, Kia EV5, MG4, Volvo EX30, and all other Type 2 vehicles.
